Students in Otley have been taking part in everything from treasure hunts to football tournaments to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight.

Prince Henry’s Grammar School pupils also enjoyed a full-scale fair yesterday as part of an action-packed week in support of the event.

Classes have also been busy making Fairtrade bunting that will be joined to others from around the globe and entered in a bid to break the world record for the longest bunting.

Other Fairtrade Fortnight activities at the school have included a packaging competition, a prize dodgeball game and a quiz.

The annual event, which finishes on Sunday is intended to promote Fairtrade products while publicising the case for food and other producers to receive fair payment for the things they supply.
